Favorite Knife?

I don't have a picture of it, and you will probably laugh, but my favorite is an EDC that I got from my father-in-law when he passed on. He was a true Scotsman, and always bought the cheapest thing he thought he could get away with. It is a small Buck 112 look-alike from China. It has a stainless steel blade that I have sharpened to push cut newsprint cross wise, and is light weight. I can hardly tell it is in my pocket. Only use it for opening letters, packages, etc. I guess it has more sentimental value than anything. I have about 8 other more expensive and better knives, that I use when I need something a little more robust.

That's actually pretty cool that that's your favorite.

This is probably my favourite all-round carry combo...

Victorinox Pioneer, CRK Large Sebenza 21 Insingo and Victorinox Rambler

But I'm a fickle knife-guy. I've been fortunate enough to collect some nice blades that I really enjoy, so none languish in the drawer for too long! :D

^^^ Very nice.
And yeah, the Sebenza is really expensive, but that gives me all the more reason to use it and get my enjoyment out of it. It wouldn't be the same and I wouldn't love it as much if it wasn't my EDC.

I guess I could post a pic of me? Lol.

My hair was in a little ponytail. At the longest length my hair is a little past my shoulders.
I chose these two pics because even though you can't see it, my favorite knife(Large Sebenza) happened to be in my pocket.

Y'know, the CRK Sebenza isn't really that expensive when set next to other mid-tech offerings (have a look at the Benchmade Gold Class for example... .) Add to that the spectacular quality control that comes out of Mr. Reeve's shop and it could be argued that the Sebenza is actually a pretty darn good value in its class... :)

Nothing over the top, or special, but I love this one. It is the one I always have with me and I know I can depend on it. Just a well made versatile EDC.

Favorite? Today? This week? I like all of them. But if I had to choose, and could take more than one, I would take my Canal Street Jack Knife for a folder, and my SOG Creed for a fixed blade.
They serve different purposes, and they are my current favorites.

Favorite large folder- used to be large classic left hand Sebenza. Have gradually moved over to the Spyderco Gayle Bradley and won't let it out of my pocket. Love the CMP-M4
Faforite small folder- used to be a Buck 303 but now a Queen small stockman has taken over. Love the D2
Favorite fixed blade- ESEE 3 or Loveless drop point hunter. ESEE for general field and Loveless for hunting only

My favorite knife is my Jared Oeser Alta Bushcrafter in full exposed tang 1/8" O1 steel with wenge over orange G10 handles and black G10 pins. Has a 4" blade and 4.5" handle with flat saber ground blade and a flat microbevel. Sheath is leather.

This is the knife that made me love microbevels and made me sell about a dozen other knives due to lack of attention.

My Ritter Mini-Grip w/ Wilkins scales. Really, it's the scales that makes this my favorite. By itself, the Mini-Grip is decent, but the WilkinsGrips transforms it into something else entirely. Plus the anticipation of waiting for him to make another batch of Swimming Pool Green scales made me appreciate them that much more when the came out earlier this year.

I agree that for the Sebenza's price you do get a heck of a knife and it's well worth every penny and I would have paid more(I actually did pay more than most pay for a Plain Jane Sebbie 21).
It is expensive though when you don't have a lot of money, and I'm a broke girl. But I do have nice knives. :D

I love that Dozier - Is the fixed blade a Dozier too? Looks like his style. Either way, gorgeous pair.

I don't have the Gayle Bradley yet. But I do have the Gayle Bradley Air - And I have to say it's an amazing knife worth much more than it cost and CPM-M4 is great.

I love that Oeser fixed blade as well. I don't even really like fixed blades.. but you guys are making me want one!!!

Para 2 is a great knife and is an awesome favorite!!! It was my favorite for a long time. Nice choice!

I LOVE that Mini Ritter Grip!!! I want it. Those scales are an awesome green. It's gorgeous.

And I've never owned an Esee 3 but I have to admit it's one of the few fixed blades that impressed me.

I found my perfect knife not long ago. For a city boy who's either in a server closet or recording studio, this is the piece (in tandem with my LM Charge AL of course).

Kershaw Blur, CF154. The CF inserts meant that I could tap it for a lefty clip and not run into issues like I would have with the standard rubber inserts. I put a Kershaw deep carry clip on for lefty carry, removed the torsion bar, and she's perfect. My drawer is empty now, everything went back in the closet. Been selling some pieces too. This is the one. Well, sort of. I got three of them. You know, in case something happens to this one.

I have many knife mistresses :D. However this one has been seeing the most of my time. Anyway, I am putting money back for a Small Insingo. I am determined to buy one by the end of January.

Very nice! How do those work without the Torsion Bar?
Is the Detent strong enough to keep the blade closed?

I really like that Para 2 as well! I've been looking for a Blue or Orange one so I can put my black blade on the handles lol.
How do you like the CTS-XHP? I'm loving it on my Techno.

Les George/Wilson Combat Eagle. Beautiful tumbleblasted finish, great ergos and very thin in the pocket. I was lucky and got in on the first batch of Sebenza 25's but it hasn't kicked the Eagle out of my pocket yet.
