favorite mora

I mostly use red "barrel" handles and "Swedish army" pattern (mostly for their secure very compact shealth)...
Also like the red hard plastic handle ones...
Also like clipper, although shealth's not so great...

Yeah I like them all.

Right now I switch off between the 840 carbon Clipper & the 2000.

I dropped the point just a little on the 2000 & really like it that way:

i imagine ill eventually have to find one i just never seem to have the funds for one (broke highschool student)

780 triflex for me, Good size grip for me, good steel, and thought the sheath isn't wonderful, It's very functional, I added a para cord belt loop to mine, and actually like the sheath now.

780 Craftsman Triflex for me. Bigger handle and blade. I trimmed the finger guard down and added a braided 550 cord lanyard loop to the sheath and wear it across my chest diagonally so it hits me about my ribcage, above the waist--KV

I've settled on this one for good. Perfect ergo on the handle and I MUCH prefer the carbon steel one.

Those look great, moodino!
I was planning on buying more 711s, but I also wanted to try out the stainless (12C27?) Moras.
I think I'll try one of those in your pic.

Have no idea what model it is, a Frosts Mora high carbon stainless. Has a black rubber handle with red rubber sections. The only Scandi grind I've ever liked.

Geez, it's a Mora, what's the difference? :D My favourite Mora is the one closest to me when I need to do something I wouldn't do with a better knife. Like hammer through nails.

That's the first time I've ever heard someone say they can't afford a Mora. They go for less than a cup of coffee and a donut at least here in Finland.

I was looking at buying a 2000 from Ragweed, but noticed it's $32 while the others are $10-$12. Why is that?

it's a more solid knife the tang is thick and runs almost to the bas of the handle...I think if your are going to pick the m2k as a belt knife..than get a clipper or 510 to go in the bag as backup...

Not sure about the rest but I know the classic wood handle knives from Eriksson, the Frost's Triflex, and the Frost's laminated are all just as thick as the 2000 (This is from before the merger, so things may have changed). The tang on the 2000 is about the same depth as the other Eriksson plastic handle knives.
