I love my Sog Tomcat 3.0, it worked great on a recent fishing trip, used it to build a fire as well as the many other things during the trip. Its a little big, but its also my EDC.
My latest EDC knife. A home made friction folder, and I always have a stockman in my pocket. Lately its a Mooremaker stockman. (they don't make them any more)
I used to carry my Gerber Hinderer Rescue with me until I started buying a lot of benchmades and SOGs. Great knife and a lot of functions for a descent price. It was my favorite Gerber.
maybe its just me, but I feel theres really no need to use such an expensive knife in the outdoors. Unless you need to pick one to save your life, just choose a decent production knife.
Victorinox SAK Ranger. Pretty much the only "folding knife" I can be bothered to ever carry, anywhere, although I use it more as a multitool than for the knife blades. SAKs rock. Useful and inexpensive, what's better than that?
Emerson CQC-7 spearpoint, plain edge. I've heard some gripes over grinds on Emersons, but this one has always done just what I've asked it to when camping and backpacking (food prep, firestarting, basic chores). I find it the perfect size also.
Biker mike.....That is a really sweet knife....my current woods folders come from my crrent edc rotation .....opinel#7, vic farmer, an okapi slip joint, or my buck 303 or 112
