Favorite overbuilt folder?

Probably my most overbuilt folder. I have some other sturdy folder, but this one fills out my hand great and inspires much confidence every time I use it.

I've had the SMF, Benchmade Skirmish, Benchmade Rukus, ZT 561, ZT 301. Many others. They were great if you had a squire to carry them for you, or giant coat pockets. I have found that while I really like huge folders, I do not like carrying them. Right now, the largest I will go is my Queen Dan Burke large barlow, Northfield 23 trapper or my Chris Reeve Umnumzaan. All carry well. All were a handful to transport though. I am contemplating keeping my 561 or unloading it right now, because of it's size.

Zt200, and the benchmade adamas. Prejudiced because they are the beefiest knives I actually own.

Took the words out of my mouth. I love those two knives. Never should've traded my Adamas.... Good thing i'm buying a second one now. :D

also both are my two favorite knives to flip/fondle. and I when I do edc carry them I use a belt sheath... i found them too heavy/bulky to pocket clip carry. :)

Too each his own I guess... I've had my 0200 in my pocket all day and I don't notice it that much.

I have to go with the BM Adamas.
For the price you can't go wrong with this.

It would be cool if they offered it in some other steels but the D2 is pretty tough and once I got mine shaving sharp it is pretty easy to keep it there.
Doing a reprofile was a bit rough though.

I really don't think I could dish out the punishment that I give the Adamas on a 300+ dollar knife.
That is why the Adamas is my prefered hard user.

I suppose an Emerson might not be considered "beefy" enough for this topic but my CQC8 seems to get the job done without fail, perhaps the blade stock might be considered too thin though.

How about the Sebenza 25? Too light as well, or considered? Mine locks up solid and I can't see the lock failing under pretty heavy cutting.

Thoughts? Am I off point here?

mine is the ZT 0300. Its probably the most knife you will get for the money. I only wish they would make a non recurve version with KVT.

I have the 0301 and I'd like to see a stainless steel end on the lockbar. It's not like it sticks but I just don't like Ti on steel locks.

I had two 0200's, one plain edge and one part serrated. Both were awesome knives and I NEED to get another one asap! :D The adamas is pretty nice too...

The adamas is a brick but the nicely contoured handle of the 0200 makes it seem a bit smaller than it really is. ;):D It's still got some weight to it though.

^^^ Exactly. My part serrated 0200 was a workhorse that got carried often. The action on the 0200's is fantastic IMO.
