Favorite Patterns

Probably my favorite at this point in my "knife career" is the Case Sowbelly stockman in CV steel. Tough to nail down for sure, but it's up there.... I also like jack knives, like the big Case Texas Jack, and the GEC Buffalo Jack.
One of my favorite "bigger" knives is the 23 liner lock. It jut fits my hand like few other in the 4" class..
For smaller knives, it's the Case swayback jack, and the Case half-whittler... or the GEC conductor.

The 053121 model 2021 GEC keychain knife is available with a Sheepfoot blade and it seems to still be available in some US dealers. Maybe not exactly what you want and small. Also the 493121 flag model still appears in some dealers.
Those are both sheepsfoot, not lambsfoot.

I love a large square bolstered stockman. Texas Jacks a close second and trappers 3rd

My Favorite Pattern is a Single Bladed Trapper OF VARIOUS SIZES made by GEC . They just seem to fit my hands better than other brands .

But this unusual Farmers Jack with Jigged Bone handle covers is a Great Knife and kind of goes against all my rules and is a very useful knife and is great to have in a pocket .

I purchased a 23 recently. Had to let it go, too big for my liking but I am seriously considering the gec produced remington knife. Seems like just a shrunken down 23. Im sure Gec also makes a smaller trapper but I really like the Bullet knives.

I like those bullet knives too for some reason. I guess it brings me back to the old days when Remington made quality American products.

Trying new patterns is half the fun of getting a new knife.

What’s the model number on the large single blade trapper, bottom right. Is that the 43, or is the slightly smaller ones shown 43s?

Based on what I have the most of I'd say stockman, swayback, and muskrat. For a long time I thought the stockman was THE knife -- not sure I even knew other patterns existed. First time I saw a picture of a swayback I fell in love and ran right out to find one, and now I have three gents and one jack. The muskrat is a pattern that I thought was pointless when I first saw it, yet it had some strange attraction for me. I have six of them now. Interesting to note: I had two swayback jacks but traded one of them for my latest muskrat. (I need to go count my stockmans, I guess.)
