Favorite Production Knife

For a folder, I have to say the BM StrykerBST. It does everything I need, and fits my hand perfectly.

For a fixed-blade, the CS Bushman. It has survived everything I have thrown at it, and come back for more...and only $15.

To simplify my decision, I'm gonna go with what's always in my pocket, every day, and even at night while I'm sleeping: Spyderco Endura '98, plain edged.

I have a Benchmade M2 AFCK that ought to be my favorite (counting only knives that I currently own), but for some reason I prefer to carry the Endura. I can open the Endura faster, believe it or not. The Endura is lighter, and doesnt' chew up the edge of my pocket as much.

I carry and use other knives on a regular basis. Another favorite of mine is the Spyderco Calypso Jr., plain edged, in Black Micarta.

Taking everything into account, including handle comfort, blade size and shape, ease of carry, ease of opening, right- or left-hand versatility, economy (replaceability), brand loyalty, etc., etc., it's the Endura that gets the most pocket time.

For me, the Endura represents quality without pretense.

Spydie Military for a duty/utility folder

Calypso Jr for dress occasions and the office.

I miss Blackjack. I think I would have to say their classics, B,K,&T's, and trailguide are my favorite production knives ever.

Himalayan Imports WWII model (16.5"). More than one person works on it so I guess it can be considered a production model.

my favorite production knife is my cold steel
mini tanto with a custom inside the pants kydex sheath from blade-tech.

Spyderco Military - it's the fastest folder to deploy (other than my custom Commander).

These are my favorite from Best to Worst.

1.Mini Socom
2.EDI Genisis
3.BM mini spike
4.Spyderco F. Centafonte 2 c50

Whats your opionion on #4. This knife hasn't hit full production yet but its a pretty good knife but hard to get.

By the way, I am surprised at how many people said the BM CQC7. I thought I was the only person left who likes the knife, especially since it's one of those damn unreliable linerlocks! :]

Interesting to see which knives are mentioned a lot (and which aren't). I'm still partial to my M-2 AFCK, especially for the $$$$.

Sebenza, Spyderco "Military" (kick ass)
BM 975, extra large tanto Voyager.

The knife I carry around with me the most seems to be my grey Leopard Cub. Nice size for everyday activities, useful blade shape, and a decent price. Its also one of my smoothest and fastest opening folders.
