Favorite SAK for Wilderness Use?

The Farmer is prettier than the OH Trekker especially if you can get a red or blue Alox version but the Trekker is a more useful knife in the wilderness. No ifs, ands, or buts. The locking blade and longer locking saw along with a better handle (not being metal it works in cold weather better as well as being more ergonomic) makes it a no brainer between the two.

That said, I have two OH Trekkers and six Farmers! :D (two silver, two red, and two blue)

Too hard to pick a favorite.

I used the Swiss Champ for the past two months daily in Australia. I've had it for about 10 years now.

Still for me the Rockstar of them all is the OHT

Did you sharpen out the serrations on the OHT? I can't seem to find one without serrations.

Nobody here but me loves Wengers? I have owned a Wenger Mountaineer for over 15 years now and I can't think of any way to improve upon it. Has a 3.5" liner locking blade, 4" saw, can opener, bottle opener/flat driver, philips driver, and awl. The design has been updated and now it's called the Ranger 56 and costs 3x as much as I paid for mine, but if I lost it I would replace it with the same.

I've had a couple of Wengers over the years. I prefer their can opener to Vic's, but their smaller "market presence" makes it much harder to find the specific configuration/package of tools I want.

Well I just ordered a Victorinox OHT and a Swiss champ plus. So now Im just fanning the fire to my SAK passion. All I have to do now is wait wait wait. I have always wanted the OHT but thinking I have a Rucksack, I never saw the need to order it but since it is One hand opening and has that Phillips, I think it will be a beautiful add to my collection. I ordered the Champion Plus just because I always wanted a large SAK like that and it reminds me of McGyver when I was a kid. This stuff is so addictive, I just love em!

I was wondering if I was the only one who had one also.
How to improve? swap out the bottle opener for a small knife.

I tried to think, started to answer and got frustrated. I can't make up my mind between all the models I have.

So my answer is : yes.

I picked up another OHT PE with Dayglow scales, need to post pictures of it ....plus my necker set up for my SAK "Hiker"

I picked up a Champ Plus from Amazon a couple weeks ago for $28 and change shipped. Very cool knife. Always had wanted a SAK with the magnifying glass. This also has a pen and a pin amongst all the other cool tools.

Of the three I have (Explorer, Huntsman, and Spartan) I would say the huntsman is my favorite outdoors, and the Explorer is best around the house/town.
