Big fan of the Dragonfly2 here. On my wishlist are the AG superblue Dfly and the GB Air, Pingo is also looking nice.
I recently gave my sister a Dfly2-zdp as a first knife. She was a bit leery, but I told her that being a new dog owner having a knife might come in handy. Maybe a Delica would have been a better choice as a first knife but I hope she likes it anyhow.

Again depends on your definition of small. I always carry a ZDP Manbug on my keyring. My next smallest is a Leaf Storm which I can carry anywhere except on an airliner. Both are great cutters. Next size up would be my Chaparrals, both a CF and a Ti. I personally consider almost anything with a blade under 3" as a small knife.
