In the last week I've picked up two soddies. One exactly like Rayban's Rough Rider (only cause they had it in jigged bone) and I hate to say it about something made in china but it is a fairly nice piece. I also picked up a custom from a maker whose mark is A.B. which is very nice. Wish I had a camera I'd post pics.

The KR Johnson is the only custom Sodbuster I own and I use it just like I did the old Case.

These Soddie's are adictive . Haven't found any for sale locally here in any of the stores ( well unless you want to pay retail + 20% at the 1 store I never buy from ).

Today Lowe's got some in , friends were snapping them up , you would have thought they were Bose's

That's where I just bought mine too!! My first Case as well and I like it. Had to clean up the edge as well but not too badly. Nice and sharp now and I can see how they become addictive!!!

Favorite Soddy? A.G. Russell Cowboy. Aus8 steel, well ground, and fitment is great. This is an EDC for me. 3.5 inch blade and comfortable in my pocket. Only $29.99. It does everything I need in a hunting camp or outdoor excursion. I can skin with it, butcher, and field gut large game with it. It does everything I need except baton would. I carry a sheath knife for that.

Sodbusters are still relevant today as they were in 2008 when this topic was started! At the risk of being unoriginal, my favorite Sodbuster is a yellow Case Jr in CV. In addition to the yellow CV Jr, I have a Black Case Jr SS, a liner lock smooth tobacco bone Rough Rider, a Kissing Crane Brown Mule, a red D2 Queen, and a black wood handled German Eye.
