Favorite Youtubers

You welcome to join me on a ride along, the same invitation that a few members here have taken up. Sadly we don't have many malls here. I don't just dress up for fun. Sorry if I struck a nerve, this is a forum were opinones are posted. And yes I'm more of a pueblo ninja.

If a minor felon can go with you, tell me when!

jdavis882- honest about his reviews and puts out some non review content that I find helpful and interesting
cutlerylover- seems he has slowed up on the knife reviews but it's just another phase on his channel, he'll be back to knives soon

I watch some others also but these two really deserve mentioning.

jdavis882 (my new favorite)
Solosknifereviews
Darkchild57 (not posting much lately)
Oromoto
IamBoognish (does not post enough)
Blunturth4u (miss his reviews)
Tuffthumbz
Nutnfancy (he's pompous but he does good reviews)
Cutlerylover ( not diggin him so much anymore. To many eggs in his basket)
Eyespy0099

No love for Neptuneknives??? J/k I hate that guy!

His reviews may be a little well....opinionated.

But...personally he's a really good person, who I am proud to call a friend.

I think Hate is a very strong word, did he wrong you personally???

jdavis882: Very good sharpening videos. His edges are the most impressively sharp I have seen on youtube...he has caused me to spend many hours at the stones getting my edges to zip through phonebook paper like his do. Also, his reviews are more substantial than most and he's one of the few that puts knives through and kind of real, repeatable test. It's nice to see a demonstration of why S30V is considered a "better" steel than AUS8 instead of reading about it as though it were recieved wisdom.

Virtuovice: One of the few on youtube who video themselves using their knives for an actual productive purpose (making meat). I do not really hunt, but I've learned a lot about what makes a good hunting knife from his videos. He also has some excellent videos on reprofiling and convexing knives, wherein, for example, he spends 6 or 8 hours  grinding down the primary bevel on a Ka-bar to create a zero Scandi edge. Moreover, the guy is just entertaining, in a totally unique way.

Knivesandstuff: He has great info on knife grinds, and what convexing is all about. He demonstrates how grinds affect cutting performance -mostly by cutting down all of the trees in his garden. It's interesting to watch him create knives and explain his different designs. Also, he has kind of an irreverent attitude towards certain dogmas of the knife community, which I appreciate.

Honorable mentions to Mr. Dagon and Cliff Stamp. Cliff would be towards the top if he had a little more output.

I would vote knives9797, which is my channel. Hopefully some of you guys can subscribe, i'm doing a review on the 470 emissary

I don't think HATE is too strong for "Roadsideimports"

Yeah I forgot JohnWayneColt45 too. Sorry, I've watched several of your videos - well done.

AsILayDying1984

couple of my buds with great channels.

I really EdgeObserver too. Really cool style.

I also have one focused on knife making and being a filthy stinkin hippie. (aHippieWithKnives)

I'll go against the grain and say I like Neptune. He takes a different approach, but it's not anyless valid than anybody else's.
Plus he was crazy enough to beat the hell out of some really expensive knives! Not many people are up to doing that. For that reason alone I'd say he's a keeper!

EdgeObserver has the best production quality I've seen. I wish they would lengthen their reviews a bit with more detail. They always just tell you to go to their website.

Jdavis882 (on here as CrimsonTideShooter) is easily my favorite knife youtuber out there because A. none of his videos are pointless. I find when youtubers start to get popular, they, they start making videos that are either off topic or unnecessary at a dizzying pace, to the point where there important videos can go unnoticed. As much as people might like the guys on youtube, we don't need them to get as personal as they do. For example, Cutlerlylover has had candy reviews for the last week. Gavkoo releases a video daily about his custom knives, most of which aren't for sale. Grrr.

B. Jdavis882 is concise, which is one of my biggest issues with other people. Nutnfancy is pretty much the perfect example of this, he's pedantic to a point where it truly interferes with his videos. 30 minutes of knife review doesn't necessarily mean it's better than a 10 minute one. Every Jdavis video is packed with useful information about things that people that are new to knives are constantly asking about, i.e. what sharpening stones to buy, how to use them, etc.

And as a guy who rocked bangs for 18 years of his life, I have respect for the man bangs. Respek.

These are very kind words, I appreciate it. You wrote this as I was being married as well, haha.

I actually work really hard to make each and every video I do have some useful information in it. Sometimes I am successful, sometimes I am not. It does feel good to know that some people appreciate it though. Again, thanks for the kind words. Also, I'm always open to suggestions as well. :)

I like the personal touch that your videos have. I feel like I'm getting a fair shake for my time. You don't come across like a snob even though your expertise rates fairly high IMO.

I'm primarily a Nutnfancy fan because his antics don't bug me (in one ear and out the other). He reviews high volumes of knives, guns and miscellaneous goodies with an extreme attention to detail. I don't have a knife store for me to try out knives before I buy so his long winded reviews are just what I want. I go to him first, your channel next, Jim Ankerson's next.

After that I'll do a search and watch any video about a knife I'm considering that appears good. It saves me time and money. I'm sorry I don't comment hardly ever, but I'm a big fan.

Keep up the good work your videos are appreciated.

Hey - nice touch in getting a titanium (tactical) wedding band.....lol.... :D
