Man it seems that Oregon and Stumps always post such nice pictures. It really inspires me to stop buying knives and pick up a camera.
Anyway I got my 55 in yesterday and I dont want to bore you with a paragraph of blabber; so here is my list of pros and cons.
Pros
1. Matching scales
2. Hair cutting sharp out of the box
3. Perfect centering
4. Nicely finished i.e. no sharp corners or edges
5. Equal bevels on both sides of the blade
6. Locks up with an audible snap
7. No side to side or up and down play
8. Came with a fairly nice leather slip pouch to carry it in
9. Needle point tip that is even on both sides
Cons
1. The knife arrived with some sort of grime of the bolsters and blade that I had to scrub off
2. The lock is a little difficult to disengage, but I would prefer that than to have a loose lock up
So all in all a great knife from Buck that will get dropped in the pocket again today.
Well because of all the talk of the web specials, I had to go there, now I have the 110 (NickelSilver Bolsters) and Bucklite II on the way. So does anyone have a pic of these two knives together?
