Fiddleback ANYDAY Pocket Dump....Updated title

I know it's not Friday but it was a bit hectic for me. Here's the pocket dump anyways.

Just got the str_ek. Absolutely in love with all four of Steve's patterns.

I'm curious about the marketing of some of these cooler lights made in copper, brass, or titanium versions. For instance while the Maratac AAA copper, seems readily available, there are AA copper and CR123 copper versions that do not appear available. Also theres the Olight S1 versions in raw copper and blasted titanium pictured here and on the web, but they to seem unavailable. Is this a temporary, but normal sort of short term outage? Or are these considered specialty versions, that're more gift oriented, that appear at the end of the year towards the holidays?

Keep an eye out on Massdrop. They do special orders for these almost on a semi regular basis.

Some of them, like the S1 copper were limited run (500 units or something like that). Who knows - maybe they'll make another run.

Agree on watching massdrop. Great deals can be found there.

Okay, so I usually don't participate in these types of threads because there's usually nothing interesting in my pockets. Between comfort and convenience, I personally do not care to store items in my pockets that obstruct the easy retrieval of my keys, change, etc. Heck, if it weren't for the fact that I try to pay for most things with cash, I'd even ditch my wallet for just a card sleeve. It sounds crazy, but I've also considered looking at a new truck that was a keyless start so I could eliminate the key from my key fob. For lack of a better explanation, you could say that I'm a bit OCD and consider myself a minimalist (knives not included)

Anyway, one of my favorite Fiddleback models to date if you didn't already know is the Ladyfinger. Too large to EDC in my world, but I love that knife. Just a real pleasure to use. So, to my delight, while surfing the internets ;), I just happen to stumble upon an image of a newer model Zero Tolerance folder that immediately reminded my of the Ladyfinger. Long story short, I had to have one. Plus, its features just happen to fit the qualities I was looking for in a new folder: Small, lightweight, quality steel, moderately priced, and just plain cool IMHO

So, here is my humble pocket dump (and watch). Yeah, when ordering the knife, I got sucked in to looking at watches and needed a new knock around.

Check out the Ladyfinger lines:

To be fair, the only fixed blade EDC I ever carry is the Fiddleback Esquire which I highly recommend!

both look good but the folder is a little too "high speed" for me. i prefer traditional slip joints

You'll like both of those lights. I have two of the S30Rs. A first gen and second gen. They send me a second gen for free because the first gem had some issues. They both still work great.

I'm pretty sure I misplaced my new Olight i3s today. Good thing they aren't that expensive. I think something grabbed the clip and flipped it out of my pocket. Not used to those tiny little things. Oh well, if I don't find it I'll probably order another one or two. Sweet little lights. It'll ride inside the pocket next time.

that's a bummer. I hope it turns up

Moving today. Here is a quick, blurry pocket dump pic from earlier. This wenge 1/8 TT ladyfinger is outstanding. For the time being, I still have it in an ISP sheath meant for a hiking buddy.

Cool Pic. I can respect a guy carrying 3 knives. LOL. Especially when one is a Fiddleback!

Pocket dump for today.

And since I'm still a light whore, I added the Mech Army PT16(little fat light). Its rated at 1000 lumens with one 16340 rechargable lithium battery. I usually avoid the multiple led lights, but this one has 3 leds in the head. I really like this light. It just has a look to it. There is also a neato momentary full blast feature. Hold down the button and it shines full power. Release the button and its gone. So you can have the light set to turn on in the dimmest mode and still jump directly to a momentary full blast. I like that.

Still though, after the new purchases, the Jetbeam light in the picture (WL-S1) is my favorite. The increased size of the reflector make this light throw and spill. It is super versatile battery wise and will take AA, 123s, or 18640s. Its a great light for fifty bucks. Its too big to EDC, but it sits in my center console and won't be replaced with any of the new additions.

Thanks man! I'm almost positive it's out in the pasture where we keep our horses. Only a couple acres to search hah! Not a huge loss if I don't find it.
