Hey guys, here's an updated snap shot of my current stock. Missing: shadetree drunk burlap hunter, shadetree green/brass burlap sneaky pete, and one or two others that are out of town right now :D.

By the way, sorry for the crappy pics & happy Saturday!

I'm digging that camp Nessie. Andy needs to make some more!

The mosaic pin Bushfinger was gorgeous. Would have matched my Camp and Ladyfinger perfectly.

Getting some fresh air...

Might do another sale here shortly....I always think I can thin my collection in winter and then miss them terribly once summer roles around.

I don't actually collect per say...though I do sometimes amass more than I need and have several on hand at once. But my "collection" is somewhat fluid in that some of my knives get gifted to close friends, some get traded short term or long term with friends...and alas during this winter, some were sold to ensure survival. But here are some group shots from over the years... To end on a more positive note, the Hunter is on it's way back now and will be used in another project that I am working on.

Love the old Bushfinger and Ladyfinger Misty:thumbup: Sorry you had the let the Recluse go, very classy handle on it. For me it is just right as a general purpose belt knife.

Great news on the Hunter, I really appreciate my 3/16" one I got from Duder.

Yeah, I have lots of fond memories of using that Bushfinger, it was the one that started my addiction lol. The Ladyfinger was the one I originally traded the Hunter for, but then gifted the Ladyfinger to a good friend who is an avid trout fisherman and who has gotten my ass out of more than one sling over the years. Selling the ones I had to sell this year really stings, and I missed that Recluse from the moment I boxed it up, but hey such is life. That Hunter and I did a lot of exploring and experimenting together, and it was the knife I used in my first article for SRI. Now it has work to do in a new environment, and I look forward to working with it again.

Funny that you mention the 3/16 Hunter, I was just out working the other day and had the 1/8 CPM 154 Recluse out with me. The environment I was in was just so harsh that I didn't do a lot with the Recluse, and started missing the Hunter. I walked back to the truck and put my OKC Chimera (a knife Andy would see as very ugly :) ) on my belt, and walked back into the woods. As I walked along and looked around, it dawned on me that I want to have a tapered 3/16 Duke with a high but not full grind for next winter :D

You need to pair that 1/8" Recluse (pics?) with an ax or you Camp knife :D Should handle everything

Yeah, would under normal circumstances :) But you have to remember I am already humping a lot of weight in photo equipment and tools I am testing and evaluating. I'm getting to be an old man these days, so I usually opt for one knife and a multi-tool of my own as far as gear goes, and no axe lol. I got the Chimera because it is the first time a production company has put out a knife design similar to one of my own designs I've had prototyped...and one I may have driven one our regulars here insane over, but I do wish it had a shorter blade. Six inches is plenty for me most of the time. When they hit the 7.5 to 8 inch range it starts being overkill...and adds to an already heavy load...

Don't worry, the Recluse is gorgeous, and I've already warned the missus that I'll be shanghai-ing it some this warm season when the days are longer, and I actually manage some personal days in the woods :)

With just one knife and a multi tool I can see why you got the Hunter back. Very capable blade and even if you broke the tip being foolish;) it will still be a very functional tool.

Sweet spalting on the Recluse, I prefer the other handle though :D

The Hunter is really sweet, and a very capable knife! It was the knife I used for a piece on making all of the parts for bow drill from raw materials in the woods and making a fire with it, that I did for SRI. Lol, they used all twenty-something photos in the piece and every time I look through it I miss that knife. The friend I traded with offered to trade it back, and I couldn't resist. That said, Andy did not yet make the Duke at the time he made that Hunter, and I still want to give a Duke a go :)

That Bushboot in the first photograph is beyond gorgeous. What type of handle is that?

My little collection so far, missing my Bushcraft Karda and a Recluse out on loan. I like finding a variety of different styled handles. If I had to pick only one, it would be a toss up between the scandi Kephart and the Woodchuck.

Hanging out with Dylan's. You could make 4 or 5 Bushboots out of one Hatchula. :D Going to need to split them up here this week and make some room, finally getting my hands on a Ulysses.

Well if you decide to sell, I may be interested in that EDKarda.

Also here is My very small collection!
