I was thinking very hard about both and couldn't decide!

Fortunately, I have a birthday coming up, so I can pseudo-justify the splurge. Maybe. A little. Hah.

Morestagg, bonekrakker already grabbed it. But I'll be the third I'll take it if you two fall through for the walnut bush finger :D

You are right. Did not see them jumbled together :D. Oh well. I either need glasses or a bigger phone!

A comment about the green herringbone burlap Sneaky Pete just listed: I have one Fiddleback in this same handle material, and would like to say for anyone considering this knife how impressed I am with it. It's surprisingly grippy, espec. when wet. And the burlap tan really looks good paired with the green, espec. in daylight. (I'm thinking this photo was taken with indoor light.)

Thank you Greg! The walnut really is nice, I don't the pics do it justice. The orange liners make it pop too!

Man that bushfinger!

You think its stabilized walnut?

Not sure if it stabilized or not though I don't really know how you can tell???

Walnut is a good, stable hardwood. I don't think it needs to be stabilized like some other softwoods....

They have been using walnut for gun stocks for centuries. When finished properly it does not need stabilizing. But that does not mean you can be sloppy with it. You have to do your part and keep up with taking care of it. Keep it oiled and clean and it will last you longer than you'll need it.

So schmittie is right!

That's what I thought. I wish I saw more in Walnut, I'd like to find one that matches the tigerstriping on my 30-06!

Looking for a Ladyfinger in green or sapphire shade tree, jade G10, antique micarta, bone micarta, black wood, bocote, cocobolo, or similar grains. 1/8 preferred, indifferent towards tang or grind but a Scandi would bring top dollar.
I'm also interested in ANY jade g10 handled Fiddlebacks.
If you are looking to sell, let me know.
Thanks,
E
