These are the nessies you speak of, I would jump on the bocote if I were you. Fiddleback's nessmuks were redesigned a couple years ago. Maybe that's the confusion?

Are you looking for a Nessmuk or a Camp Nessie? Those are two different models.

The ones listed above are the standard nessmuk. There are four nessmuk style knives in the current lineup. From top to bottom: camp nessmuk, nessmik, minimuk, stubbymuk.

I prefer natural hardwoods, especially blackwood, ironwood, rosewood, and cocobolo, rather than burls or stabilized wood. I'm most interested in a Bushfinger and Hunter, but I may consider a few other models as well, like a Hiking Buddy or Patch Knife.
