Joe/Will - not been around much over past few months. I have to say guys I am really sorry for your losses. Still think about my ole pup Mags every day, and the sweet times we had, the join and the pains she brought us as a family. However, would never be without those memories. Snap, out 5 year old pup is still by herself, but she is a lovely natured girl around the house! Prayers to you both.

Will - very sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a long time buddy like that is really tough.

We lost Orson, our border collie mix, last year after 17 years in the family and it was very hard. It was the first time our family had a pup put to sleep and it was tough on all of us. We found Orson right after my wife and i got married and a couple years before my daughter was born so he had essentially always been in our lives. It was also tough on his buddy Tigo who moped around the house looking for him for probably 3-4 months.

Below are our current four legged family members; Tigo is the old man in the front, Oasis is the teenage girl pretending disinterest and the mighty Thor obviously wants all the attention.

That looks like an awesome cabin in the first pic and there looks to be some shenanigans about to break out in the last one

Here's ole Maximus after we picked him up from boarding while on vacation

It's seems he didn't sleep while we were gone

I don't know what rock I've been living under or how I miss this great thread, but here is my contribution. This is our 7 month old pup DJ.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1439514783.382403.jpg

The bonds created between an animal and their people are amazing. The loyalty shown by our pets is unequaled. I know everybody has stories about their pets proving that. My mom recently moved in with us as a result of her recent cancer diagnosis and her appointment schedule. Our dog Tink has always been very dependent on my wife and I but especially my wife. Well that has all changed. Suzanne and I are nonexistent anymore!! :D She doesn't even leave my mom's side to greet us at the door after work. LOL Tink has taken the roll of guardian over my mom. She will not leave here side. She has become a great friend and an emotional boost for my mom during the day when nobody is home.

Yeah, we had a great time up at that cabin! There were some definite shenanigans about to break out between those two. The other dog has a few years on Ollie so I think he started getting on her nerves a bit with all his craziness, but they're pretty good with each other.
