Thanks thurin, I will give this a read. I worked leather when I was in High School, so this does not intimidate me. But that was pre-1975, and I have not worked it since. I also want to get at least one of my Fiddlebacks some carry time soon. By the time I get all of the supplies, it might take me months to put together a sheath.
 
By the way, I was checking out Tal's how to make a sheath thread, which is what has motivated me to get back into leatherwork and make some sheaths for some of my knives.

That thread I linked is mostly us posting our sheaths that were made by Rick Lowe, Tal, Heber, etc. There are a few homemade, but most are from the standard Fiddleback sheath makers.

Got it. Weekend EDC for me is typically belt carry. But for work in an office, I like to pocket my babies. This keeps the sheeple grazing. Went through the thread and there are some awesome sheaths there. Sent Rick a message as well. Thanks for all of the great information.

You can thank the GA Guild meeting for the earlier post. We were hustling all week in order to get out of the shop by lunch so we could get through downtown Atlanta before traffic hit.

Lots of beautiful knives as usual! Lots of food for thought also. Judy is doing some really nice work,

clearly she has some good guidance.

Also, you nailed what I need with that bubble gum handle configuration. It's exactly perfect for my

daughter. I am going to be looking to get an 1/8 Hiking Buddy with like a 2/3-3/4 grind height in that

handle. Man I love the new Big Paw design, and the curlu oak with white and blue is just stunning!

I am stoked!!! This is one Fiddler I've been wanting since I discovered Fiddlebacks! Elusive! I almost dropped my laptop when I saw this thread was posted so early and I was still late to the party! I'm usually in the process of getting ready for work and/or going in-service at the normal time it goes up .. so I've been missing out on the ones I really want. This Recluse will book-match my Bushcrafter in Box Elder Burl .. yeah, come on!
