Fiddleback on Tap Saturdays

I had an IPA at the Food Truck Friday this afternoon with Hannah and Lily. Then we had softball practice with Hannah's travel ball team. We have a tournament tomorrow. Having a Stella before bed. Hope y'all had a good one.

Have fun Dave! Stay calm, remember to breathe and try to find the time to put your feet up and let the world be your oyster for a bit.

Congrats buddy.

Congrats Dave!

Last bottle of Porter from the last batch after finishing the roof:D Think we'll try an IPA or maybe a wheat beer next time.

A little different spin for "on tap" Saturdays. Sitting having morning coffee after a spectacular event. Yes it's my same ol' Runt but it's all I have here at the hotel. There are some very special memories contained in this cluttered pic. :D All very special...

I am happy for you Dave. Weddings always come together in the end to be an amazing experience. I wish your daughter and her husband a lifetime of happiness in their marriage.

That coffee looks like a good idea. If you put a little bit of that JD in it, that qualifies for this thread. :D

Great choice and correct glass as well:thumbup: Gotta buy another bottle soonish, just 1/3 left.

I just started getting into Scotch (aka Scotch noob), but rather enjoy it. I have a bottle of Balvenie Doublewood that I really like as well.

I think my next purchase will be something with peat since I have yet to try any, any suggestions?

Laphroaig quarter cask is great if you can find it. Lagavulin if you find an older than 10 year old. Easier to find would be Bowmore (lots of different ones) is cheaper and easier to find while still good. Any Islay distillery should be worth a try. Try to find one that isn't too extreme at first and if it is cask strength add a bit (not much) of water to get it down to about 40%

It's hard to recommend a specific because I myself have liked a bottle one year and not as much the following year. Either way, when it comes to peaty Scotch, you have to give Islay a try - so I'd start with Laphroaig, Ardbeg, or Lagavulin (there are handful or more of others too). I used to exclusively drink Islay (when it came to Scotch), but transitioned away from it (partly because the fiance never liked how my breath smelled afterwards LOL). The most recent Scotch in general I've had that I think would be very approachable for a new Scotch drinker is the GlenDronach 15 Revival. Good luck! (and have a glass for me as I've transitioned to not drinking hard alcohol as I started working out again every day).
