That's a great pic Trestle! Kephart is my all time favorite Fiddleback in convex.

Went out to explore, gave the Bushfinger some good carving time (nothing photo-worthy, but fun). Also managed a half-decent shot early on.

As a new owner, I'd thought I'd have more trouble using it because it's gorgeous; turns out it just pleads to be used whenever I'm carrying it. It's just so damn useful, I love it!

Wait to you see what Jonny and I have at the gathering. One month away!!! That's such a classic Bushfinger right there. Great first Fiddleback! I had no doubts that you'd use it and love it.

It's been with me everywhere I've used knives outdoors, it's replaced every other blade under 4" for outdoor carry. Still can't carry it at work, else my folders would be out of a job. I've managed to get a natural patina going already, looks great!

After seeing you guys' recent purchases, I can't wait! I've been browsing this subforum quite a bit, of all the designs I've seen so far the Bushfinger is still my favorite.
 
Great picture Fogdart. Would love to see some more of these Sgain Dubh come out of the forge. What size Joufuu ISP sheath do you use?
 
Great looking knife fogdart! I just love those ISP sheaths Bud makes. I have to learn how to put a clip on a sheath like that.
 
A friend and I spent a rainy day in the woods recently with our sons. I took along my scandi Arete and the small axe I forged last year. This Arete might be my all time favorite custom knife. It just performs so well and feels so comfortable in my hand. It was a rainy day and it had been raining all week so all the wood was wet. I found a skinny dead dry redwood that was in the shadow of a bigger redwood (technically the same tree) and processed it. Redwood can be very difficult to make feather sticks with. I tried making some feather sticks for tinder with another scandi knife I had with me and I was having difficulty. I pulled out the Arete and it made fine feathers with no problem.
