Nice little group, really like the HB

Icyblue, that bolstered Ladyfinger is beautiful!

I think that's it ....... That what I'm gonna be looking for next!

I finaly took a couple pics of my Fiddlebacks. A Hunter and a Recluse that I modified a bit with a slight drop point and convex edge.

We've known all along that you have a thing for bolstered Ladyfinger handles ;)

Nice pieces man, I'm still wanting a Recluse. The patina on your Hunter sort of looks like mine.

Yeah, your Hunter review and pics were definitely an inspiration for this one. I'd be willing to let you borrow the recluse if you want to check it out. It's got a different edge and point than one straight from Andy so it won't perform exactly the same as a new one.

Thanks man, really busy right now so I'd hate to get into confusion. But I may just take you up on that later!

Great looking blade, enjoyed your video. I'm waiting on a Hunter from Andy, hopefully next week.

Thought I'd post some more gratuitous pictures of my Bushfinger whilst waiting for my Kephart to arrive (in customs at present.....).

This is my first knife from Andy. I use my knives so had been waiting for something less fancy but I couldn't resist this one! It's getting used, everything from dressing game, food prep and woodworking/bushcraft. I'm careful with it (things like battoning I'll keep the material away from the scales which is good practice with any knife). I'm sure it'll get the odd knock over time, it's all character! Ash tends to be pretty resilient as a handle material, don't know much about stabilization except this stuff seems rock hard!

I've taken some time to blend the edge bevel into the main convex grind. I've then put a convex micro bevel (similar to a Bark River. This keeps some protection to the edge but improves the slicing ability of the knife. I'm not intending to hammer this knife, that's what my Billhook's for:)

All in all I'm enjoying looking at and working(playing) with this knife:)

That ash is beautiful! I really like the look of that handle combo. Yeah, stabilized woods do seem hard and heavy. I like the stabilized box elder burl on the Hiking Buddy a lot.

Agreed, Andy finds some lovely wood (no hint of innuendo):)

thought I'd add, I love the way O1 gets that bluing on the blade where the steel is being worked. Nice.

Yes Andy really does come up with some beautiful materials for handles, and I like how O-1 ages too.

Put my new Hunter to work trimming some Aspen in the back.

Updated group shot. Just got 12" Machete with leather Sharpshooter sheath. Pretty impressed with both actually, but then I had no doubts I'd like the Fiddleback product!

12" Nat canvas machete
5/32" convex S35VN Bushfinger with ghost jade G10 over nat canvas
1/8" convex O1 Bushfinger with white linen micarta over nat canvas with orange pinstripe
1/8" convex O1 hidden tang Bushcraft Karda in black canvas micarta

Nice selection. I particularly like the look of the Karda, most useful looking.

My favorite Fiddleback and the new crossdraw sheath I just finished. A little too heavy on the acrylic coat but hey, at least it'll keep the sheath in top shape. The cord is there to wrap around the knife during long hikes. It fits really well but with it being crossdraw there's a few positions it may slip out of. The cord wrap keeps it secure until usage.

Nice job solid4ever:)

Thought I'd post a couple of comparison pic's of my 1/8 tapered tang Kephart alongside my 5/32 Bushfinger

These are two similar sized knives so it shows how much variation there can be

Cheers
