Fiddleback User Pics

I just found this pic while cleaning out my in-box. I just thought I'd share it. The Runt is my favorite EDC!!

Cool Runt - Wish they made more appearances in FiddleBack Friday batches... Looks to be a great size for EDC -

The Runt is ideal for me. Its small enough that it's non threatening at the office. It's perfect for just about any EDC chore. I love that there is a little more belly than a lot of EDCs. I will definitely buy a second if the opportunity and funds permit.

Good to see that Kephart getting dirty HWF! The Kephart is an awesome bushcrafting blade!

Got to get out and hit the woods Sunday, with a friend who is helping me with a few projects. He got the chance to check out the Camp Knife and found out why I love Andy's knives. He's being such a help to me lately I think I am going to let him pick one to take home for a while next outing.

-A thanks to Mist- Your review helped me fall in love with Andy's kephart design. I agree with its pointiness. I've always used/have needed a fine point and some designs have failed in that aspect. Either too fragile or too stong to be fine. If that makes sense.

I wish I was better with words. So I'll let pictures speak. I apologize if you guys get tired of me constantly posting pics (and low quality ones from my phone no less.)

I really enjoy the full tang of the kephart. At first glance, for me at least, I LOVE the tapered tang. It looks beautiful and reduces some weight. Working with my simple Keppie and Bushfinger side by side for a bit in the woods has me preferring a full grip for long term use. For me it is easier to hang on to and doesn't fatigue or cause hot spots over time. Well done!

To add:

Thanks again you guys for posting pics and reviews. It led me to discover Fiddlebacks.
Like I said before, I'm terrible with words. But hopefully I can some value here.

Question for Andy if he is reading:

Which came first? Karda or Kephart? My ED Karda blade looks like a mini kephart.

Nothing at all wrong with your photos HWF, I think their great, especially for phone pics. I agree, I think I like the fuller grip of the full tangs for long term carving. And yes I do so love the blade of the Kephart and it's tip. I have found that I am very happy with the tapered tang Camp knife handle as is, it works well when chopping and feels good when whittling too, and I like the tapered tang Bushboot just fine for pocket carry and edc use, but when I set out for serious woodworking and carving it's the Kephart that I reach for.

Oh, and I can answer that question, the Karda came quite a while before the Kephart.

I'll chime in as the awkward sod now and say I haven't had any issues with comfort whilst using my Kephart with its tapering tang. I've worked with the knife for long enough periods for any problems to show up, none have:) Kudos to Andy I guess for shaping his handles so well. I do think the slightly deeper handle pattern of the Kephart helps too by offering a bit more for your pinkie to wrap around.
