I took my wife and teenage niece out for a lesson in clay shooting for the first time today. They did great and had a blast!

Looks like a great time!!!

Rehandled Handyman... I bought this one as a Rustic Wrap and have been carrying it and using it quite a bit lately. It's got a super thin grind and slices like a laser! I wanted to try a 'leather only' handle so I ground the hemp off and managed to get the original leather peeled off the tang. For anyone wondering about the durability of the hemp wrap, trust me, it's tough! It was a b**ch to get it off! I wanted to keep it very thin for front pocket carry in an ISP so I epoxied on a 3/16" piece of cowhide on each side. It ended up a bit thinner than that as the epoxy soaked into the tang side and I had it in a vise while it cured. I suspect the durability of straight leather may not be that great but I really like how it feels in my hand and it makes for a very thin and very light package with the ISP sheath that I made for it. If the leather starts giving up, I'll redo it and wrap it back to original. For now, I'm happy with the feel of the knife.

That is pretty cool! Let us know how it holds up. Looks like it would feel nice in the hand!

I love that toboggan Tekton. That right here is my all time favorite handle combination! The patina is coming in nicely too

Adding fuel to the fire of this obsession. Both arrived in the mail yesterday. I knew I'd love the Arowana, but wasn't so sure about the KEBushie. My jaw dropped when I unwrapped it.

Two beauties you got there. Natural bolsters seems to be in right now, for good reason.

Remember to let me know if that KEB needs a new home. It's a beauty.

This was one of my favorite shots from a series of test shots a couple of weeks ago, so I'm going to add it in here. The 3/16 blade clearly didn't slice the cake as well as a thinner blade, but the thicker spine did better than a thinner knife for cracking the walnuts :)

Both are Kepharts, although with slight variation in width, blade length, and handle size. Top one actually has a longer and wider blade but shorter handle if you were to line them up at the start of the edge.

Effect was magnified by angle and depth. Here is another shot.

Thank you, sir. They are both bog oak in different stages of fossilization. According to lab analysis they pre-date Christianity by nearly 1500 years.
