From a backpacking trip last month: my favorite Fiddleback partway through some real amateur fire prep.

My favorite picture from camping this weekend. I'll do another trip report when I've got some time to upload pictures.

Managed a rare trip home where I have been reunited with a good selection of Fiddlebacks. Be prepared for an onslaught of bad pics! First up a lime green theme...the Scandi Arête was one of my first knives from Andy, I can never take a good shot of the dyed, spalted curly maple - it stunning and has seen a lot of use (in my naive early days I only kept hard users). The Bushraptor is special in a slightly shameful way... I had looked forward to this model for sometime but could never find one I was entirely happy with. Even this lovely Oreo example didn't feel quite right so after playing around with different grind angles I eventually zero convexed it on my stones, haphazardly freehand. Anyway it worked out ok and now gets a lot of use. Lot of ramble, couple of pics.

Cheers.

How are you liking that Gambler? I'm intrigued.

I really like it. More than enough handle for whatever grip you want to hold it in. Blade shape and size are perfect for my EDC/light hiking needs and the swedge gives that added piercing ability if needed.

Last time I looked there was still one from Friday with awesome ironwood available but I don't know how.
