I have never seen a worm like it ever. Curled up in a ball like a rolly polly when you touched it and had a spider like silk line that it could dangle from. Must have gotten on the canopy after landing. Cool little worm!

Good looking food and knives Hugh!

Mist - I like the his and hers. What lanyard beads are you sporting there? I like them.

Rob Falknhayn of Exotac made them and sent me a few to play with. He is thinking about making them for sale. They are Ti. Each knife has one of each of the three he has made so far.

Got her good and stained up I see Mist! I put several hours use on mine this weekend and wore some of the patina off lol.

No blisters or hot spots andy sure knows how to make a handle! I've never looked forward to using a knife before and I've had some high priced ones, on top of the über functionality it's like a piece of art.

I didn't bring my camera phone this weekend as I didn't want real life stress while camping so no pics.

Yep, EDC-ing the Recluse these days, that's how the wife snagged the Bushboot lol. It's been one of two knives with me every trip to the woods since I have been here, and has been involved in a few experiments and a bit of cooking.

Yep, Andy makes knives that are as much a pleasure to use as they are to look at. Like highly functional art pieces. Now that he is doing so many tapered tangs, I want either a tapered tang Kephart or a tapered tang Woodchuck for the spring and more bushcrafty type use. I wanted the Recluse for hunting...but I am really enjoying getting familiar with it :)

I had gotten pretty good at occasionally leaving the camera behind back in TN, but here I am seeing so many new things it will be a while before I leave the camera behind...I'll at least have a P&S with me.

Wow, nice family you have there!

Cool. I'll have to keep my eyes open for if/when they go on sale.

Really nice family! Is that a Camp Muk on the left? Matching sets are sweet.

Which is your favorite?

He sent some of these as a surprise birthday gift with the last order I put in, to play with and check for interest. I hope he makes more as I am interested lol and I've told him that. You are the fourth or fifth friend to show interest as well so maybe he will put them into production.

Any recipe for those mushrooms? They look fantastic!

Thank you! Simple simple. Portobello caps, garlic, shallot, jalapeño. I used avocado oil to grease the caps then chopped up the garlic, shallots, and jalapeños. Add that to the top of the mushrooms and started cooking them on the grill pan. After about 5 minutes of stovetop grilling I put the cast iron grill pan in the oven on 350 for another 15 minutes or so. Just watch for them to get soft. Yummy!

Agreed, and so does the peach jam :)

Thanks Mist! The jam is especially delicious. Great grandmas recipe.
