Fiddleback User Pics

great looking blades nofair, I wish I had a S35VN Fiddleback!

My Bushcrafter has some wild looking patina going on

I miss patina on my S35VN Fiddlebacks, the ones in O1 develop an ever changing character that I really enjoy. O1 doesn't do too well around/in seawater though so I needed something stainless.

I understand, I enjoy 01 but also enjoy stainless steels. I think 3V would be nice as its more resistant than 01 but still a tool steel.

Great pictures here, guys! There is just something about a well used Fiddleback... I can't wait to own one, one day. I've been drooling over the Bushfinger for quite some time.

opening day. missed a bunch, but the one i got was a pretty mallard. bushfinger worked well.

I'm not a huge fan of forcing patinas, but when my relatively recently acquired woodchuck started to stain up a little, i decided to give it a helping hand and let it rest in the chills. ginger, garlic and onions i use every day after use.
I'm really happy with the resulting look, it seems to complement the crazy handle scales, although the photos don't really capture the blue tints there are on the blade.
Not altogether natural, but I'll hope you agree it seems to fit!

Not exactly 'user' shots, but i love the lineup nonetheless!

The Kephart is on it's own because my wife has commandeered it in the Philippines and this is the only shot I took before I lost control. It was my first knife by Andy and is probably still my favorite general use knife although the Sneaky Pete is certainly giving it a run for it's money!

I have been buying a few CPM154 blades as I live next to the ocean in the Philippines and, although with proper care the O1 is fine, the stainless is a little more forgiving if I'm careless with my cleaning - although I usually blame that on the brother-n-law!

I hope to have some 'action' shots to post over the coming months.

Thanks Thurin, can we expect to see a smiling face on the pumpkin later?

Beautiful burlap and very seasonal liners and lanyard may I add!

There will be something carved on it, not sure what yet.

So Bear - which handle material is your favorite out of that bunch? You have some pretty wood and that woodchuck is amazing.
