Field Knife leather sheath options?

Nathan was most gracious and is sending us one to work with. I will get your order changed over to the FK instead of the Squad Leader.

Pure preference of retention style, they would indeed ride similarly. I prefer the deeper pouch sheath personally so I don't have to mess with the snaps but that's all subjective.

There is another difference regarding how the knife balances.

I used to have one of those Bravo1 sheaths and besides the annoyance of the strap was the issue of the handle leaning away from me and catching on stuff (rope/straps, leaves, branches, clothing). Same problem with running a kabar sheath without the handle-strap - the handle ends up sticking out and catching on things. I prefer to have my knife handle sit close to my body and out of the way - low profile - and in leather that's most often accomplished with a pouch-sheath. *shrug*

I would consider that Duke-sheath too big for the FK because I like the handle to show a bit more for gripping, but that's just me.
 
Thinking of ordering one of these, how does it sit on your belt, when you sit down does the knife poke you in your ribs?
 
Wow tin , Brian did such a good job of that sheath , once my 5.1 sells I plan ordering one for my field knife and either my 4.7 or the 4.1 .
 
I think ill like the dangler option better. But this one doesn't poke ribs or anything. I just prefer the sheath hanging lower.
