Field Knife leather sheath options?

I heard back from Rick Lowe today.

He has two options he would like to make available for the FK and the EDC. Leather, and leather over kydex. He's going to get Nathan's permission to offer them first. So hopefully we will see those shortly.

First, a quick self introduction. I'm a full time leather guy doing leather rifle accessories and knife sheaths that really enjoys quality knives. It's been my good fortune to work with some super makers and be able to own some of their work. CPK knives fall right into that category and I'm adding, with Nathan's approval, a couple of his patterns to my available sheaths. Got lucky and managed to snag a couple of Field Knives and an EDC, so that's the start. Most of my sheaths are all leather, but there's a real place for kydex in the knife world. I use a kydex liner formed to the knife and cover it with top quality leather. This gives the protection and retention of kydex along with the traditional look of leather. For these I normally use a large or small Tek-Lok for the carry option. The Tek-Lok allows removal from the belt without removing the belt and allows either vertical or horizontal carry. The all leather sheaths can be leather belt loop, cross draw, spring clip and a dangler can be added. All these models and options can be seen and ordered on my web site: www.rlocustomleather.com. Your sheaths for the Field Knife and EDC look great Rick! Can't wait to get one of each!:)

I really like your offerings Rick. I will be contacting you for more details. Thank you for presenting them on here

Nice sheaths , Rick , can you add a fire steel loop to the kydex / leather hybrid sheaths ?
Also a drop loop attachment so it rides lower on belt for the field knife , I guess a UKE would work .
Please let me know I am very interested .

those are sweet, Rick!
beautiful work.

Thanks for all the good words! I'm going to be working through these models and adding some features.

jjweb- Yes I can add a fire steel loop, I just neglected to add it to the list of options and I do have a drop loop option that will make the Field Knife a lower ride and easier to draw. I'm a little slow on the web site uptake, but should have those options on there tomorrow.

I believe my field knife needs that leather over kydex rig. Super excited to see these offered Mr. Lowe.

Edit: Done and done! Can't wait.

Got the same Tinbanger, the size of the EDC makes it an excellent candidate for pocket carry.

In response to a couple question, I spent the day working up a drop loop option for the Field Knife kydex/leather sheath. No sense in leaving the EDC out in the cold, so did one for it, too. This can replace the Tek-Lok at point of ordering or be purchased as an additional option. Comments are more than welcome.

I don't know if it's official, but Rick's leather over kydex sheaths are working great for Nathans EDC. Fit is perfect and nice to have a place to put your thumb to draw out the blade. And shipping was very fast. Thanks Rick

The FK model fits great too. And I agree, I like that thumb push!
