Spartan harkos might be up your alley. Or even a busse kin regulator.

Kizlyar Voron-3
it must account for something if it has been "used quite a bit by spetsnaz and VDV"...

I would dare say its been used by a lot of people who have cut their fingers pretty badly if they used this knife as a stabbing weapon.

The point is, in Russia the knife (tool not weapon) should not have finger guard that allows stabbing. It is required by LAW.

And that law applies to Spetsnaz?

precisely what I was thinking the exact same thing... a military "fighting" knife not designed with the ability to stab??? especially one touted as "special forces fighter" one would only assume stabbing was thought of at some point.

Yep! Spetsnaz does not use that knife. You nailed it in your earlier post. It would have a guard if they did. Maybe a guardless version is available to the general public.

This thread just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

No. Like I said, it applies to utility knives, that are available for every citizen/customer.
When you buy knife as a weapon, it does not apply.

Then the Kizlyar pictured is not the one used by Spetsnaz as a fixed blade fighting knife, like that website claimed.

Not sure why not a Kabar, as mentioned. Only been around and used by servicemen for, oh, about 70 years. No proven track record there.

I sense someone who has yet to deploy past basic and wants to overcompensate for something,

I'll second the Blackjack Halo Attack Model 14. The name alone says badass.

If you really want to let your intentions be known what about a Cold Steel Natchez Bowie?
It was born for a knife fight.

Just check the Speznaz knife makers homepage and you will see many similar knives with guards. Might be production runs for foreign distributors?

I like this KIZLYAR DV-2 - Dalnya-Vostorchny .

Indeed, stabbing is a top priority in surviving scenario, but you have to earn this right. Foot work (in and out) cutting his arm holding the knife, maybe legs and after this stabbing vital areas (if slash - cutting) d

on t solve the problem.
