Benton, our "soon to be wed" to daughter Krista is working part time in my knife shop. We are working on file guides to sell for honeymoon money for them.

We have 4 finished for immediate delivery and are taking orders at this time.

Very high quality with carbide inserts and useful for plunge cuts, guard fitting and fitting frame handles.
They are perfect for small folder blades or large bowie blades. I've used mine for several years.

The 304 Stainless guides sell for $120 delivered free to USA
[/B]
These guides can be ordered extra long with a 3" opening for very large knives and large chef knives for no extra charge. Please let us know if you want the standard 2" opening or the extra long 3" opening when ordering to avoid returns. We,re trying to keep things simple.
All file guides use the same 3" long carbide inserts.

paypal is preferred

I've got one of these file guides from an earlier run and they're exceptional.

Glad to see them offered in stainless. I'll order another as soon as I can.

Bruce,

I would like one in 416 please. Email sent...not PM.

Thanks

Tom

I'll take one of the stainless ones. PP goes to Krista? I've been hoping you would do another batch of these!

Much appreciated orders guys.
The 4 guides that are ready are W2 frames but the 410 stainless is coming very soon.

Butch, these will take a 2" wide blade. If you want one with more space between the bolts just let us know your needs. My full size chefs blank fits with 1/8" to spare but you may have wider than that.

Yeh me too. but i want mine to be able to do at least a three inch blade.

Bill, How long do you need the carbides. These are 3" long carbides but you will only use the lower portion so they should be fine otherwise the price needs to be adjusted by about $30 for the next available length of 8" and they would need to be cut in half to about 4" The frame length is no problem at all.

I'd also be interested in a stainless version that can take a 3" blade.

Another question: how long can you make the guide pins/bolts and still maintain accuracy? In other words, how wide can the jaws open? (I have an integral with a pretty massive bolster that I'm working on:)

i dont think i need the longer carbide but a 3 inch wide for my kitchen stuff woudl be great

so long as i have the carbide inserts at one end or the other

really i think i woudl be 99% ok with 2 inch but if im going to buy one i woudl rather have 100% usefulness

.let me know the cost extra for 3 inch clearance
