Finally had someone 'freak out' over a knife.

Learn to mind your own business, it was just some shrink wrap not a life or death situation. Too many people here on
The forums seem to jump at any chance to use there knives.
Yes, I think this is an issue for some of us.

When you spend $700 on a big pretty knife, you kind of want to show it off and use it. When during the course of the day you only use that folder to cut a plastic tie or shrink wrap or two for the whole day, it gets kind of frustrating to justify having spent that obscene amount of money on something you barely use.

Well I don't use my larger knife when others are around. Carry a smaller one.

Although when other's aren't around I have been known to use a kukri to open Nature Valley granola bars. No kidding.

I was raised to help people...it wasn't jumping at the chance to use my knife. I can find reasons to do that at home. In my mind this was no different than helping a little old lady across the street (of course, now days the second you touch their arm to do so they might start screaming 'rape'. Maybe you have a point.)

Referring back to my OP...this was a $25 Boker Action 2. It's an excellent little knife, but not a custom Damascus Sebenza or anything of the sort.
