We finally got things put together and here is the link to my page with the schedule and list of events for Ashokan 2008, along with the contact and regristration information.

Once again the dates are Sept. 19-21 this year; as that has been a avery commonly sked quesion. If you are on the mailing list the flyers will be going out in the next couple weeks and thing will get rolling on registration.

Oh, and if none of the demonsrtations are tempting enough for you to come, as always the food alone would be worth the trip.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement, I cannot wait. Oh Jeeze Kevin why'd you go and post this, now i'll do nothing but tear my hair out and count the days:p

Oh, wow, I won't be able to sleep tonight!

Now I gotta actually get back into the shop and MAKE somethin!

Kevin,

Thanks for the heads up. You were certainly able to gather a group of world class demonstrators this year, most excellent

Yah stinkers, watcha' doin holding an event like that way up there? It should be down here in the lovely South, we'll still be sweating at that time of year and might even have a hurricane for fun! (and of course it'd then be close enough for me to attend! :D) Hope everyone has a good time!

My registration just went out.
The knife show on Sunday? Is it a good sales event or mainly a display show?
Is there someone in the area that I can ship my knives and pole arm to to avoid dealing with the TSA?
Stacy

Stacy,

It's kind of a show & tell and sales combo. Misc. material usually (Damascus, scales, blocks, etc.) as well as some knives. I'm driving up so if you need me to haul something for you, I can bring it. Just let me know.

Man, i wana go =( Someone better take a whole crapload of pictures for me since i've got prior engagement that weekend.

Stacy, send them to me if you want. I'll get them there and ship them back to you afterward, if you wish. PM me if you need me!

Thanks Matt, but an even better offer has arrived. Erik, in northern VA. ,has offered to let me ride up with him. That way I can take more stuff. I really appreciate this, since i hate flying with a lot of knife/sword things. With the new baggage weight restrictions, it would really be bad.
Stacy

Lets see if I can fine tune the veggie forge for the weekend ;) That and I might have a hay budden for sale if the deal goes well!
