Finishing the Process

nice work andy... i really like those EDC models...:D

what is the very last knife, on the bottom pic, in your first post... i like the looks of that guy too..

you keping those??? The hard part is sending them out :)
Great job!!!

That is true! Until the 1095 blades cracked I didn't own any of my work. I've kept and used those cracked blades. They're working fine! Not shippable, but working fine!

 Man you are killing me & my $$$$ :p The more I see those EDC's the more I want one ! Great Job 'OlBud !

Thank you! We need to do a passaround soon. Whatcha think?

Yeah pass around sounds great!

but then they'll be more competition for Andy's knives in the For sale threads:eek:

Man those are beautiful! That ironwood is especially gorgeous!

If ever there is a passaround, I'd love to be part of it.

From the pics and how you discribe the blades. Its hard to explain but i get a feel of the emotions you put into making your knifes. Those handles are so beautiful. Awsome work making the blades...

I have some great production blades, but none compare to the feeling you get when you handle quality custom such as Andy's!

His handle contours are the definition of perfection IMO, and the his blades are SHARP!

I'm sending one of the EDC's out to JRE for sheath design. When it comes back we can setup a passaround if y'all are interested. Lets not start the list until the knife is back in my hands though.

Thats pretty cool bro! I'm glad you like the handles. I think they should work hard, and be comfortable doing it. And I try to make them curve like a woman. Knives are feminine if you didn't know. The good ones work hard, and they're pretty too, but they'll bite also.;)

:Dnice analogy man.....

I agree, the emotion and soul that goes into these custom blades speaks volumes about the maker.

If you dont mind i would rather have a woman bite me then a knife lol... But i like the comparison between a woman and a knife. J Williams i agree with you 110% to make knifes by hand it must be a labor of love but a handle shows it the most. Love wooden handles they feel warm and alive when i use them.

Sasha

Nice job on all of those Andy. The handles on all of them look amazing. Still really dig those Bow Legged Joes:thumbup:

Really beautiful stuff! I've used goncalo alves in the past and it really is hard stuff. Should be perfect for as knife handle. Tough, nearly impervious to the elements and pretty in an understated way. I've got some curly stuff that will make some nice handle scales for a project or two of mine down the road. Glad to see you're using some interesting woods.

Thanks guys. I make em for this crowd of folks. Users who know their knives!

You've come a long way, Andy.

Somewhere, Greg Sykes is smiling.
