Dang, I knew you guys would deliver. Great pics from everyone and I mean everyone! :)

Great looking set. What type of large and small knots are these? Or how are they tied? Rotte? Anyone?

Thanks!

The large one looks like a Boatswain's whistle lanyard knot, and the smaller ones are barrel knots.

Here is a tiny Boatswain's whistle lanyard knot on my keychain.

yes, but no. haha That is a different kind. Barrel knot is also called the fisherman's knot, often tied as a double fisherman's knot used to attatch two lines together. Here is the double, http://ozultimate.com/canyoning/knots/double_fishermans/ the single or barrel is simple, I can't find any good pics on the web, let me see if I can take some.

Sorry, camera battery was trying to die on me. Notice this side looks like an X

This side looks like an eleven 11. The correct knot will have an X on one side and an 11 on the other.

Hey, it's my thread. You can hijack all you want. :D

Thank you for posting the photos for the barrel knot. That is VERY helpful. I've tied the Boatswain before, but wasn't familiar with the barrel.

Glad I could help. It's a super handy knot to know. I'd show you a double fisherman's but my camers is charging.

C Bryant,

Last night, I made the lanyard and the barrel knots tied up perfectly. Your photos were dead on!

Rotte,

Thanks for the idea!
