Ah! Those outer edges were hit with a router for that. BushMonkey Knives (BMK) does some nice routering work on his handles. Might check out his site for some ideas on that.

What did you use for pins? They look a little, how to say, unfinished? It looks like you peened them but then again it doesn't. The front one where you ground for the finger groove looks a little funky. I agree that the handle looks a little too exposed under the scales.
Also, is that your makers mark on the blade? The lighter area between the scales and blade?
Other than those comments it looks pretty decent. What did the overall length turn out to be?
