First Look - ZT 0777

I got to fondle this knife over the weekend and its rocking! They were saying earliest we could possibly see it would be 1st quarter of next year, run of 500-1000 and MSRP around $600. Will be a few tweeks from the protos but generally close.
 
I will sell both kidneys, and a testicle if I have to. If I was droppoint110, this would be my tilt (not a diss!! I admire your persistence and dedication!) No rest until I have one!!
 
wow... not going to lie that is definitely a bit steeper than what I was expecting.

It is a real gorgeous blade though. We'll have to wait and see.
 
oh man 600 is pretty steep. I was hoping for closer to 350 :( That is a wicked blade though. Very unique.
 
Yea, $600 is an intimidating number and thats coming from a knife nut who buys mostly CRK knives. But I can totally understand with the materials being what
they are. Damscus, Ti framelock, carbon fiber, machined body, composite blade, kvt pivot....pretty much all top of the line materials.

I'd pay quite a bit for this knife, but I'm afraid if I do buy it, it will be a safe queen. I'd love to be able to carry this knife, but I really don't think I could bring myself to use it.

To actually use this knife, I'd probably set a max price of 300ish, but if I'm going to be paying $500+ it will definitely be sitting in the safe.

perhaps a other question, from the facebook video
when the knife is closed you here a sound that for me is typical for carbon material,
i can not bring this sound home, it sounds like something is rubbing the carbon,

i think it is the lock bar detent ball transmitting it true the lock bar to the carbon

ever had that question ?

Do you mean the sound of the Subframelock detent ball gliding over the damascus layers?
 
This this looks absolutely amazing. It's probably one of the "sexiest" knives I've ever seen and everything fits together perfectly. I doubt i'll be realistically afford one but I can dream. Great work Kershaw!
 
$600? :( I can't justify spending that much on a pocket knife. Max I will go is about $400 because after that I just wont use them :o Too bad, because this looks like an amazing knife and I would love to have one.

If it really is 600 I'm afraid its one knife I might not have :(.
I have it preordered though lol.....
