First Look - ZT 0777

I was hoping to remain silent here, but now I've been called out... :)

Thanks for the comments everyone - it's nice to hear that you like the design. While I am proud of how it turned out, it's important to note that these projects are completely a team effort, and we have some amazing people on our team. The R&D machinists are artists themselves, and without their skills and talent this knife would be a shadow of what it is. And those incredible prototypes would not be here at all. It's the group working together that makes these kind of projects possible.

I know I sound cheesy, and I'll probably get some crap over this post, but I just wish you guys could see all the people involved. I am amazed every day at the way they make these concepts become reality.

It is nice of you to give credit to the team. That being said....the starting point and design has to come from somewhere. You've done something special here. I'm glad you landed at Kershaw.

Well, guess what i'll be buying next! I haven't even got my Tilt yet! Geez Thomas, you guys at Kershaw never cease to amaze. I still think I may collapse when a price is set. I can't imagine it would be anything less than $350.

Wow, this is really an amazing and innovative design. Even if it ends up prohibitively expensive, I wouldn't be surprised if this knife ends up changing the industry in a way that everyone will notice.

This knife was taken from aliens in Roswell, there is no other explanation. It speaks to me (inside head)... Wow!

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but will this be limitted or a regular production knife. I looked for a while and couldn't find that info. I just want to know so I know if I have to start saving for this peice of art now or if I can get it later. If there is a limitted run of it I definetly don't want to miss out. BTW I love my Volt :-x...

Kinda curious if that damascus makes it more vulnerable to corrosion. Because that was the one thing I didn't like about the Speedform and Volt. I'm hoping this one wins an award at Blade.

I thiink it has to win an award. This knife just took a giiant step fwd in what produuction companies put out......just look at it and the specs.

So can anyone tell me what to expect from N360? I haven't heard much about it or how it stacks up to other steels.

Chuck from Alpha Knife Supply mentions that it is an upgrade to N680 with better edge holding, toughness, and is a cleaner steel(which might mean it's a powder steel).

Hi Thomas -

Thanks for the rendering - I will have one of those when they are available.

I like the styling of that one - very nice!

Enjoy Blade -

fffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ZT make a 3" blade pleeeeease!

Just get someone to grind down the blade for you, then. You can always neuter a blade yourself, but you can't make it better (larger).

Suuuurre... While you at it, grind down the handle too

I myself skipped on Ti Volt, Ti Speedform, 0551 because of the length. I definitely would go for smaller city-EDC version. Looks like I might have to skip again on new ZT flipper and 0777. I know makers can't please everyone, but there sure is a huge demand for blades around 3". There always were Small and Large Sebenza, Strider PT and SNG (SMF too), 3" and 3.5" XM18, Galyean JYD Small and Large and bunch of others. Demand for nice small blades is high, so I don't see why not to offer it. I know Kershaw made lower class smaller versions of Volt and Speedform, but they are hardly comparable to Ti versions. G10 and linerlock just now as COOOOOL as Ti Framelock.
