I just noticed it looks like the spine tapers to the rear. It that true or is it an illusion

1.11 at the first handle bolt, 1.16 at the middle and 1.25 at the end handle bolt.

Lucky! Deer season ends on Saturday here. Didn't manage to get a buck this year, but I did get a nice young bear sow last month. Absolutely delicious. I've been smoking the steaks. Amazing.

Progressively gets more pronounced from the handle to the tip. Well to the highest point of the blade than it tapers back down to the tip.
