First Run of BK62's to Be Released

I Like the weight of this blade not to light not to heavy, fits in hand nice as just used for about 1/2 hour of kitchen duty, some onions, garlic, potatoes, hunters will like the belly and the slight curve in the belly. I can see why such an iconic blade. Thanks Ethan for an excellent addition to the Becker Line and Ka-Bar for a great job in production. Scales a little rough but will take some sand paper and get them sealed up, blade is spot on on all 3 of mine, grinds are perfect as can be, not like the Moses where they where all over the place. I see this knife having a long run and can see many of you pairing it up with some bigger Beckers the 9 comes to mind. Hope all good wid u n yours and may you all have a Happy Thanks Giving

I'm going to put brass screws and nuts on mine. Flat heads

I'm thinking maybe solid brass pins, but we shall see! I'm just excited to play with it.

The Condor Greenland pattern hatchet is a reasonable facsimile for the hatchet described in Camping and Woodcraft, and a Case trapper or Stockman should fit the bill for the pocket knife - depending on what edition of the book. Kep seems to have added a blade between editions.

I need to rewash my hands a few more times. I've been in the grease all day, and this knife is in a raw state. If I don't put it down, it's gonna be filthy before I give it "the treatment".

BHQ is showing in stock for these now too. Just ordered one along with some more cordage.

They probably had them shipped in via USPS too if they received them a week after Knifecenter. USPS is struggling a bit right now as they've generally been pretty solid the past few years since the changes that included flat rate.

Nice how USPS keeps changing the times it was supposed to have left St Louis. Yesterday morning at 5am it said in transit from St Louis, then they later changed the departure time to 10:16am, now it left last night at 12:43am.

It still doesn't show that the local post office has received it.

I hope so Dubz I'm getting anxious all over again... I want this knife in your hand!!!!
Not looking good so far. This will be the last time I order from Tomars. They didn't do anything wrong, but it leaves from there, and goes to the freaking east coast to Springfield Ma, before returning this way. I ordered mine the day KA-BAR said they were going to release a few. Kymedic ordered his Monday from Knifecenter, and had it two days later.

You guys are driving me nuts. I ordered from Tomars and missed the first 36. After finding out that their next shipment (not their fault in any way) might not be till January I ordered ANOTHER one from Knife center. should be here mid next week.

I also have one coming from a guy who is a big deal around here. I can't wait to handle this knife... I want to make a fire in the snow with it.

Jeremy
