The scales on mine don't seem to be as dry as many of the photos I see.

There must be a bit of variation in the wood, I was surprised how dark the wood on mine is. Only a little lighter the the sheath. Props to BHQ for getting this to me so fast, worth the extra few bucks considering it was a 2-day turn-around from ordering to unboxing.
Showing off the addiction... I mean some size comparisons. Somehow I didn't think it would look so long in hand, based on the pictures.
Dang thin handle. Not sure how I feel about that yet. It's nearly as thin as my native 5, which I threw in at the end for those who don't have as many fixed blades but are interested in the BK62

Probably the sharpest KaBar out of the box yet.
It’s glorious! Made light work of a pork loin 2 mins after unboxing.
Might polish up the scales and add liners in the future...maybe.
