First Run of BK62's to Be Released

All right! If tracking info is to be believed, my 62 will be waiting on my front porch when I get off work tomorrow.
Been looking forward to this since Ethan showed me the proto at Blade West.
Might touch up the edge and rub some mineral oil into the scales and sheath. Other than that this baby is staying stock. :D
I’m excited.
Probably more than when the tweeners were released.

This might sound funny, but it Begs for modifications...
Obviously sanding, and oil?
And for sure new hardware!
The top knife edge needs some grinding and reprofiling because it looks like it's kinda not done or finished.
.....and a sheath.

I'm even thinking thicker micarta handles in maybe drunken burlap.... If I want to spend even More money.

Then again, we are paying for that idea of History, so some people might just leave them plain....I've said this before, these are not safe queens, they are user knifes.
 
Ordered my BK62 on Saturday morning from BHQ, it's sitting at my local post office right now scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Pretty decent delivery from USPS for once. Should arrive with my esee CR 2.5 that saw 1/2 the country before making it here but as long as the local folks can figure out where I live it should be a good vacation in the woods later this week, weather permitting.

Just makes it hurt that much more for those that ordered as soon as Tomars had them and they're still waiting on them. USPS was not good last week.

Edited: changed back to expected delivery for today (that's what it said yesterday) and it's out for delivery. Pretty excited for this... last meeting of the day will be rough.

Cursed labor disputes. The Postal union rejected the offer on Saturday, so strikes are still ongoing. My TOPS is still sitting in a truck a few hours away, shipping label is showing maybe this Friday (was supposed to be here last Friday).

62 is still sat at the processing facility in NYC. Who knows when it will even get to Customs. *grumbles*

hoping yours shows up today Warrior ... if not I'll drive mine down to ya for the holiday ... lol ... (I may have to drive through your area this weekend anyway on my way to TN) ... but no making it a clip point! :p
