First strider !!!

On their webpage there is a list of dealers.
I'd personally recommend Blue line gear, TNK has expensive shipping from canada.

How does one order a Strider SNG? Do you have to go to the Strider website? I don't see any independent dealers offering Strider knives.

Oh, and do they have stock knives or is all by custom order?

Gpknives.com has a few in stock

Great knife, I have the DGG version. Needed a little break-in (was new) but it's very smooth now.

Prayers sent for you TKC ;)
I don't know much about pancreaitus but it sounds like a bitch.

Regrind..... For what?

I have 3 SmF's and they work great.....

Also as a side note that is called pimping out the knife and if he would ever need to send it back into Strider it would cost him a new blade as Strider will put the knife back to factory at the customers cost before they send it back out.

For non pimped knives it's not a problem. (Personally I would call them before doing it if you choose to have it reground)

Edge geometry has much more to do with performance than blade thickness. ;)

He could put a nice 30 degree edge on it and it will do extremely well. (Normal is 22.5 per side or 50 degress)

LINK REMOVED. NO CROSSFORUM LINKING!!!

i had a strider smf with a krein regrind that was sent to strider to repair a loose stop pin.

they did not replace or otherwise change anything that krein had done. it was returned exactly as sent plus the repair.

i was only charged for shipping.

what makes the krein regrind effective is not the edge angle, but the removal of stock from the primary grind, making the blade thinner overall. but without changing the spine thickness.

I know what the Krein regrind is, I have seen them before. ;)

Personally I'd keep it the way it is.
No big deal thinning out the edge a bit, I did that myself, but I wouldn't regrind the entire knife.

I reprofile the edges on mine too, even them out etc on my Edge Pro. :D

Hmm nice knife!
I owned a SNG in the past but sold it and I'm looking for a XM-18 now but you pics makes me want a SNG again.
It's too bad that there is no liner on the G10 side, it would make it even a better knife because the pivot wears the G10 down after a few years.

But I'm pretty sure the boys at strider knives would take care of that if it did!!
