How much did that run you? I was looking at a Sebenza but something about Striders appeals to me, they just look... mean. I really like the general look of them.

Expect to pay around $400 for a new Strider SnG

The lock on mine sticks now and then is this normal , and will it break in???

Take a #2 Pencil and mark the blade where the lock hits it, you can see the marks if you look at the end of the closed knife. Just rub the lead in that spot, it will make it much smoother until it breaks in.

I wasn't sure if the black and "flamed" Ti cost more... What's the difference between an SnG and a PT? I think it's just the size.

The PT is a lot smaller than the SnG, same materials, just smaller. :)

The PT blade is 2 1/2" I believe.

The SnG blade is 3 1/2"

The SmF blade is 4".

I see, thanks :)

One more question before I totally derail the thread, Strider's site only has the SnG with the iger stripe blade, and so do many other sites I see (like bluelinegear.com ). Where do you get the normal blades or a black one if you want?

You have to search around to see if they are in stock.

Bluelinegear.com
knifeart.com

Thanks, tried both of those and didn't see any. No big deal, I won't convince myself to buy one any time soon :)

I bought mine at Plaza Cutlery

They had an extra SnG identical to mine in stock at the time I bought mine a week ago.

Call them, they had atleast 13 SnG's available to choose from.

I've never seen a Strider. The pics of these knives make it look like the blade is galvanized-is that the case?

And, they look about as solid a folder as you're ever going to find. With enough time, they could chop down a small tree.

NO they are not galvanised. :D

Yes I have chopped down small trees with my SmF's. :D:D
