Fishing, and hunting reports (share yours)

Took the snowmobiles out and went ice fishing on Saturday. It was a bit slow, but we each got a handful of decent Lake Trout. Might be the only trip this year, it's been so warm.

The new (and stronger than factory) rear suspension torsion springs worked well! Finally got this old gal's ass from dragging the ground lol. I can sit on it and still have some flex left over, like it should be! Murphjd25 Murphjd25

It was a warm "run-and-gun" day of ice trolling, actively looking for the fish, so no pulling jet sleds or huts. Hit 50 degrees out there! 😳

Kind of a pain in the butt getting the fishing crate attached to the back, but a ratchet strap and a motorcycle strap did the job. Probably the best way since I don't want this to be on there permanently.

Got too much sun, but not burned thankfully. Great day on the ice! 😎

ETA - You can't see it, but I had a jorts EDC in Magnacut in my backpack. 😁
Looks fantastic. I have family in Minnesota. I need to get up there for some of that!

SC hog hunting week was awesome again this year. I wasn’t sure if my truck would make the trip so I was shopping around and found a nice 2021 to replace my 2011 two days before leaving, the ride was pretty damn nice!

It was pretty cold the first few nights so I started my mornings with spicy ramen to warm me up and get that morning poop really agitated!

On the first day it didn’t take too long to get into pigs, we chased a small sounder for 20 minutes before my buddy dropped these 2 sows.

We cooked over the fire most nights, this was chicken thighs and baked beans night and yes that’s a 7.5lb can of Bush’s baked beans! More than enough for 12 guys.

This was probably the biggest pig of the week and the guy shot it 60 yards after stepping off the boat.

It wouldn’t be hunting the swamps if you didn’t come across abandoned logging equipment! We find and use these objects as meetup points since they’re so recognizable.

Man, I need to get some pigs. They are dang good eating!

Awesome trip man! I’ve always wanted to go hog hunting, I hear they are everywhere.

This is typical public land hunting so they hang in the thickest crap imaginable, it’s not easy so we throw 10-15 guys together, team up on the boats and try and hit peninsulas where we can funnel hogs one direction. They are everywhere though, we put in a lot of work and then it’s kinda nuts when gunfire rings out right next to camp and it’s one of our guys shooting from his tent, nailing a 45lb roasting pig lol.

I traded up for a 2021 Tundra with 12k miles on it last year. - awesome decision, absolutely love it.

Also the spicy ramen is a 200 IQ move

Damn that’s crazy low miles, awesome find! It’s nice that there’s so many similarities in the trucks even after 10 years, I don’t really have to re-learn where a lot of the controls are and I was able to pretty much move all the stuff from my old one to the same exact storage spots in the newer truck, I feel I will be keeping this one for as long as possible!
