I'm turning my interest from folders to fixed blades But Why carry a fixed blade that is even smaller than the folder, as shown by many posts in this thread?

The fixed blades that I have now include ESEE 3 and 6, architect field buddy 5.5 3v, and lionsteel t5. What am I missing?

A little more convenient for carry if the larger of the two knives you have fold down.

How much easier is it to carry an Esee 6 and a mini grip, say, than the same Esee 6 with an Izula?

I’m not going to be doing much in the way of fire prep with a sub 7” OAL fixed blade, but it’s still plenty useful.
