Fixed Blades You EDC?

This my most common carried fixed at the moment. Grocery store, pizza place, bar, pick up the kid at day care, what have you.

It would appear my comfort zone is >3" and <6"

What steels?
What I can tell you is that they're carbon steel, they easily take a great edge, and that they hold said edge pretty well.
I don't pay attention to specific steel types, but I do know that the western in the middle definitely has some chrome vanadium in it.

Do you prefer leather or kydex?

Tough to say 100% because most factory sheaths (including these), leave one lacking for something; ergonomics, convenience, quality, design, durability, etc.

I guess I am typically more partial to well made leather sheaths. They're more attractive, and more comfortable to wear. I also respect a well made kydex though that is both secure as well as easy to unsheath.

Im coming close to a place where I'm actually content with my current knife assortment, (maybe 1 or 3 more ) at which point i will be looking to get new custom made sheaths for most of these knives.

I carry a custom Alan Davis of my own design on my days off. OAL 6", 1/8" Damascus, and Desert Ironwood.

I like it enough I'm thinking of getting a "utilitarian" version made in stainless and micarta so I can wear it with my duty uniform.

Thick Ol' slab of Elmax.

Love the knife, sheath is just "ok" for me though. Functional and looks cool, but unsure how durable the leather frog over kydex design is going to hold up over time.

One I definitely plan on getting a new sheath for in the future.
I like that gollik , is it in sleipner ?

That's awesome I've been eying his edc ' s for a long time now . Really need to just pull the trigger

When I need to have a fixed blade on my hip, it was a small Drop Point I purchased from Cabela's in the mid '80's. It is marked Tree Brand Cabela's and made in Solingen. Few months ago I was doing some other business with Boker and I thought to check. Turns out it was a special exclusive run Boker made for Cabela's out their German factory. Turns out I had more Boker's than I thought!

I'm trying to switch to and start using imigur so I can post pics from my phone again, hopefully I can get the pic posted.

had to dust off my crappy computer and make it work, because my moble photobucket links wont let me copy them ( i know how , they just wont do it ) i tried imigur but i
can only make it post a link and not the image directly.
also imigur seems more social media-ish which isn't something i like

Knife laws in my area are a bit restrictive. If I do take the chance of carrying a fixed blade out and about its almost always going to be my Esee Izula. I love that little knife. I don't need it to be particularly slice-y, as I carry a folder for those tasks. I just like that it is very no frills, indestructible, and relatively inexpensive. I can beat the heck out of it and save my folders from the abuse. It's a perfect size for me (medI'm hands), and with the micarta handles provides a solid 3 finger grip. Horizontal cross draw with just a simple paracord loop works great.
I also occasionally edc my Becker BK 14. Love the knife, not a big fan of the sheath. Tend to take that one out on day hikes more often than I edc it.
Would love to try an enzo necker next.
