Fixed blades

What are these knives? Me like!
The TKC/Architect Knives Field Buddy 6.5 and 5.5, both in 3V and heat treated by Peters. Blades are made by Tops (one of the best full scale production makers IMO). Great quality, Customer service (never needed them, just asked a couple of questions), and the price to performance is one of the best I’ve personally experienced. HIGHLY recommended.

ETA: uses the ESEE 6 handle platform and sheath attachment layout, so the customization factor is nearly endless.

My daughter is 2 and showing interest in knives and camping and just the outdoors in general. If a blade is out of the sheath, “knife is awake” and if in the sheath, “ohh knife is sleeping” according to her.
I started my kids young with knives as well, my oldest is about to be a teenager and edc's a crucarta pm2 and a leatherman wave. Good on you for starting her young!

She’s only handled the DEK2 while in its kydex sheath. She has a small plastic kitchen style knife that’s part of her kitchen play set. It’s her favorite little plastic toy lol.

My little Missy has about 3 years and used to have a plastic knife like that. She's keen to point out knives when she sees them and, despite her mother's protestations, asked me to buy her one. I'll get her a wooden butter knife to practice with for a while longer. She doesn't know I have a stack of Opinels, vintage Schrades, and a little Case fixie waiting for her (amongst one or two others). They pick up quickly, don't they?
