Got a new Mora Robust carbon.
The spine was ugly so fixed it on a diamond stone.
Very happy with it now. :D

Dave, your work is outstanding as always, but the request for an oversized sheath brings to mind some thoughts I had. Most sheath makers have gone in this direction by default and I don't think it's always right for every knife. For example, I made a FS dagger and think it would look better and be more authentic with a thin narrow sheath like the original, but that would be out of the ordinary for most guys making sheaths these days.
I agree with you quite a bit there. But this works for a specific purpose he had in mind. He likes to clip it to the tool loop on his Carhartt coveralls while he is piddling around his place. I was concerned about a lot of flop. But he came walking up to us to visit some the other day, while we were riding by and I got to watch it as he walked up. Honestly, I was surprised at how stable it was. He had to go up and down some inclines to get to us too. Now I could of narrowed the blade part and still allowed the extra width needed for the guard but that would of entailed lots of design changes and wasn't what he wanted. He brought over this one:

He said I want a bigger one for Grandpa's knife and left the Case with me. This is the only sheath style I make where it is not made to a specific knife. All others are. This is my new Tooled Horizontal sheath. Took me three prototypes on the first one I made for this knife model. There was just more to pare down till I was happy with it. But for certain construction concerns there was some excess I had to leave. So this is the happy medium.

Thank you for the kind words my friend.

How ya liking that lil guy? EDCed a similar one myself for quite a while.
Dave, your knife has taken two trips to the mountain west for upland. This one and a slicey David Mary number also in AEB-L were so good on birds. two other guys commented on how nice your knife did so yeah liking it a lot  keep meaning to snatch another one from you, think it's the Sonoran Toothpick (I'm probably the world's worst at remembering your models though) Do you have a thread with examples of each model?
