I thought the exact same thing, that's very much like the original bowie pattern.Wow, that knife looks REAL familiar.
I betcha' it was a Bowie concept before it was a "Hudson Bay".

I can see that, useful designs tend last the test of time for a reason. I'm thinking .180 of 5160 would also suffice. For me, it has a little "V-44" DNA going for it.
Would be cool in .225 of 8670.
Win/Win no matter what It's called.Wow, that knife looks REAL familiar.

Post 15 has a picture that works (for me at least) from Charlie with a really nice example.I hate when the pic links die out. I'll give it a read! Thank you, I love history.
It does look very bowie'esque. I always get multi use kitchen knives vibe off this design. Back then I'd guess they pressed the knives into many roles at home or out in the wilderness.Post 15 has a picture that works (for me at least) from Charlie with a really nice example.
I don't disagree, when I see them I picture a Green River butcher knife on steroids... I kinda spit balled the idea to David over the phone the other day, and that's where we wound up.It does look very bowie'esque. I always get multi use kitchen knives vibe off this design.
