For Niece's highschool graduation next weekend...Curse of being related to a maker. Ha.

7" Chef's Knife.
Nitro V 64HRC linen micarta scales, and my typical handmade hardware.....
Hopefully she likes it. Hopefully, I finish it...

I think I use my custom kitchen knives more than any other knife. They're such a nice luxury to have and make meal prep so easy.

I love the rounded spines on them. Makes it so much easier when you have a lot of cutting to do.

I think she'll love the knife and it'll be something she uses more than she realizes. The first time she has to use someone's knife block set from target, she'll be blown away by the knife you make her.

That's So true about using other people's knives in their kitchen. Really is.
I'm hoping everyone else at the party will be Jealous. :D

Some people may not know enough to be jealous, but anyone that's used a high end or custom kitchen knife will be.

I'm not a fan of cooking big meals in air bnb kitchens or at family's houses. Their knives are always semi dull, too thick, clunky, etc. I really got spoiled.

Camping, that's another story. I couldn't care less if in the mountains and I'm usually using something pretty utilitarian.

Man, if you can even IMAGINE a modern combo of the "CIA", "Delta Force", the "Defense Intelligence Agency" (*"DIA"), and "SEAL Team 6", you might understand the importance of the O.S.S. (*the "Office of Strategic Services") during WWII.

Those guys had a "catalogue" of cool sh!t available to them, including the "Smatchet".

In my humble opinion, only Dave Wenger and Jerry Busse have gotten it right. This blade is SPECIAL...
