You've imprinted the Tops Steel Eagle series in my head pretty solid with all your pics
You've imprinted the Tops Steel Eagle series in my head pretty solid with all your picsI like the looks of this small one alot. At what size does it feel right to you? You have used all sizes iirc
Wish they came a little cheaper on this side of the pond
Thank you. You get what you pay for.I've had a 105C and 105E since their initial release. Hell, one of 'em is #50 in production. However, as you referenced in your earlier post, neither has seen a lot of hard use. I've mostly just had them on my belt while running-around on the tractor or walking some fence lines.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have been using my 107s for years and have (*quite literally) hundreds of hours under the sky between the ones that I own. Since the 105s are basically just shorter versions of their 107 brothers, I can't imagine these behaving or performing much differently. Because of the shorter size, batoning and chopping will probably be a bit different, obviously. However, other than de-limbing, I rarely chop with my 107s.
I foresee the 105s being stellar performers and capable of giving BK&T and ESEE/Rowen a run for their money. Your mileage may vary.
You mentioned "his" but I don't see the "he". Assuming you are referring to Craig Morgan. If so, I so understand. If not, check it out.I have no idea why, but his song "Almost Home" always makes me a little teary-eyed.
Gorgeous knife!

The Great Muk-Off of 2024 is complete. Head on over here to this link if you wanna check it out.
I recently acquired a Busse Hog Muk LE. By complete coincidence, my buddyAlone was shipping an Esse JG5 and Joker Nessmuk for me to try out. As luck would have it, they all arrived the same day. I figured why not have a Muk-Off?
My first impression observations: the JG5 is a very handsome knife. The blade is relatively thin and full flat ground, which I love. It has a stout, relatively pointy tip. The handle is extremely ergonomic - really locks on to your hand. The problem with that is the...

Alone - thank you so very much for loaning us the JG5 and Joker! We had a lot of fun with them, brother! I very much appreciate your generosity and patience. I know it’s been a long time coming.
I’ll get your blades in the mail early this coming week - hell, you’re so close I could almost throw em to ya.![]()
